Is my cat's leg broken and how can i mend it?

My cat's leg is bent at the joint by the paw, when it stands it holds it up. If it puts any weight on it, it meows like crazy. I think it is broken, there is however no bones protruding out. Later tonight i think i'll take it to the vet, in the mean time how can i help it to give it some relief? Is my cat's leg broken and how can i mend it?
"Later tonight"? Why aren't you RUSHING him to a vet? Have to eat dinner first or your favourite TV show on? WTF??!!!
Okay; whoa - settle down - don't panic ! ! ! !

My cat was hit by a car and broke it's front leg in the late evening a few months ago. Surprisingly enough it was just as broken the next morning when I took it to the vets.

The reason that it went the next morning was because the nearest emergency clinic is 200 miles away and my regular vet only does large animal emergencies (cows). The cat simply settled down and purred all night to release the endorphins required to fight the pain. All we did was isolate the cat and check every few hours to see that is was drinking.

Now; if you have access to a late evening vet, do take the cat tonight. If not, take it in the morning. Do not attempt to give the cat anything but water until it sees the vet. NO MEDICATING THE CAT.Is my cat's leg broken and how can i mend it?
You should make sure he doesn't move. You dont want to hurt it any more than it already is.

I remember when my cat jumped up on a hot wood stove and burned all his paws. My mom had to wait intil i got back to school to bring him to the vet bc I had no way into the house. She made sure he didn't stand up and try to run away.

I think you should do that to him now. I hope the vet can fix it like new again =/

Good luck!
your even meaner than me, wow! id rush my pets to the vet/ emergancy animal hospital. wtheck is wrong with you? get off the computer and go to the vet u tard
Drop all your things now! Take him to the vet! He iis in serious pain and if you don't take him in for indemitdite surgery he could be parilized for life and could die! Their is no reliving! Go!
hurry and get to the vet the vet will have pain killers for kitty
TAKE HER NOW!@#!$

Why do my bones ache?

I'm 18 years old and have had arthritis in my back for 2 years now so I know what arthritis pain feels like. Here lately my extremities have been severely achey though. Not the muscles but the actual bone itself. Idk what it could be but it's driving me crazy! It's not like all day, just at random times and it's like a sharp shooting pain right in the bone. Not dull like my arthritis. Its like a pain that last about a minute and then goes away and then it comes back a few more times. Ive been very busy and havent had time to go to a dr lately and it's just started about a week ago. Any ideas? Why do my bones ache?
cause you don't exercise enough

What is the symtoms of parvo? can a dog be too old to get it?

if it wont eat but will drink non stop. acting crazy, skin and bones? could this be because of the puppies draining everything from herWhat is the symtoms of parvo? can a dog be too old to get it?
Parvovirus is a severe gastrointestinal disease. It initially causes weakness, depression, and lethargy. After a few days to weeks, it causes vomiting and lack of appetite. The dogs develop a very high fever. Very severe diarrhea ensues, gray in color, often with blood and tissue. Because of the vomiting and diarrhea, the dogs become very weak and dehydrated. Puppies and dogs less than two years old, may also suffer from heart disease caused by the virus, causing sudden death.
parvo is usually a puppy illness..if she is really skinny just make sure she has plenty available to eat..and watch her closely. if your still worried seek a vets opinionWhat is the symtoms of parvo? can a dog be too old to get it?
His/her poop will stink BAD, diarrhea, vomiting. I recommend a vet check immediately. My experience has been that it is not limited to pups.
My peek had parvo at 6 months and almost died. the symptoms are vommiting, bloody diarhea and pink gums. The secret to a home remedy is beef liver(fried) and pedialyte to drink(1/4 cup every two to three hours) you must go to the vet to get diagnosed b4 attempting to treat. they will charge you $1500 and keep her for 7 days and guarantee you that they will save her life. the home kit cost $250 and they will supply you with needles to inject her with fluids till she's able to drink. A lot of TLC and that remedy will cure her if its not broken down the immune system yet. that happens in about 48hrs. Good Luck!
Parvo is generally a puppy disease. Is your dog older than 2? Symptoms include vomiting, bloody diahrrhea, fatigue. Parvo is a disease of the intestinal lining that will eat through the lining of the gut. Once contracted and if treated immediately odds are not good for survival. A blood test at the vet's office is needed to determine if your dog has parvo. If it is an older dog, sounds like it could be hookworms, buy Lassie dog wormer at wal-mart and feed your dog pedialyte to treat the dehydration you can use an eye dropper to get it down her throat.
a nursing dog needs LOTS of food and clean fresh available. The best bet is giving her puppy food, and wet(can) food. the puppies will drain her, so she needs a easy way to replinsh.
Older dog usually don't get parvo but the dog will get very skinny and there bathroom will be running and there even may be blood. If you think your dog has it you should run it to the vet. Make sure the dog has lots of water.
get her checked by a vet she might have a calcuim defenciancy it will cause her to act like she is nuts and she will also foam at the mouth you might want to bottle feed the puppies for awhile if there not older enough to eat food on there own separate her from them for a couple hours a day that might help to if possible though take her to a vet

I think I could help find this info, but when do you need it by? Would not be able to get to it until tomorrow and I don't know if that would be too late to help. There is a link to my email on my profile page if that would not be too late and you want help.

By the way just for your info.... superior and inferior are just anatomical terms of location. There is also posterior and anterior.

Have you ever been put off someone because they look like your sibling?

Some guys said to me are you crazy, I would tear dat yellow bone *** up. I can't explain it but just that she looks similar to my sister puts me off.Have you ever been put off someone because they look like your sibling?
i had a crush on tyra banks til i realized she looks like my aunt

The foot pain is at the arch and it goes through to the top of my foot also up my ankle and shin, it feels like a bad cramp that never goes awAy? It gets worse when I am sleeping and waking up is crazy!!! I have had it for three months and the past week I can't sleep. Can you break a bone and still be able to walk? Can you break a bone in your foot and still walk?
The foot like the hand is made up of many small bones, so it is possible to do this and still walk. You may also have strained something or the footwear you are wearing is the cause of your problems, I really think you should see a doctor or podiatrist
    how did it happen??

Can you break a bone in your foot and still walk?
Yes. It sounds more like you have torn a muscle in your foot/ankle. Go see a dr. asap. You only got one pair of feet and they are your platform. You need to take good care of those puppies.

    JUST F.Y.I.

My husband RAN for 3 weeks on a broken leg in college. Long story but his cross country coach told him it was some rare disease that he had to "work thru." My husband ended up having his entire knee replaced.
yes , I did .when id step down i would hear a click click sound and then feel like peeing myself.but would go away when I didnt put pressure on it.My point is the pain was sharp and unbearable and no way could I have lived 3 months with it.

what I believe ,because you dont mention an injury or any undue swelling or redness is that you could have a fallen arch.

this would explain the continued pain.Id reccomend seeing a doctor who can help you find methods of dealing with it.

I.E. special shoes or arch supports.

It may be as simple as changing the shoes you wear or trying one of those inserts for shoes you can buy at the store ,if you have very high arches you shouldnt wear flats, sandals or moccasins that have little or no arch support.

    good luck
Yes you can, you just say ouch a lot.
Yes...depends on the bone though as to what sort of mobility you get back. I snapped 1/4 iknch of the end of my fibula and can no longer run as the bone will never heal.
You sure can. Matter of fact, my father broke his leg once and walked on it for several weeks until he began to wonder why his leg wasn't getting any better and he finally went to the hospital and they x-rayed his leg. The ended up putting it in a cast and he had that on for a long time!!!
yes, my daughter has done so and is in a cast today. its anticipated to heal in a month or so. its a real pain in the ...
'Can you break a bone and still be able to walk?'%26gt;%26gt; after it heals, Yes

Whats your doctors verdict on this?
yes and as you say the pain is bad.

i suggest you see a doctor and ask for x ray. if nothing is then found on the x ray you must follow up and go back to the doctor as there is something wrong and you should not suffer any longer
you can break a bone in the foot and continue to walk on it. i broke my foot right by the last two toes and continued to work with it hurting for months.

What was the Purpose of Moses Taking Joseph's Bones With Him When He Left Egypt?

No crazy, ridiculous, or mildly ludicrous Answers Please.. Thank you. What was the Purpose of Moses Taking Joseph's Bones With Him When He Left Egypt?
So Joseph could be buried in the Promise Land God

    promised them.
Joseph in Genesis requested before he died that he would not be bury in the land of Egypt. He knew that Egypt whom he help were worldly people and knew where most of his family were bury.

Go to the book of Genesis and to the verse where he about to die. What was the Purpose of Moses Taking Joseph's Bones With Him When He Left Egypt?
It was Josephs idea that his remains be taken back to his homeland of Canaan. Moses having lead the Jes out to Canan did as Joseph wished some several hundred years before.
Hebrews 11:22 By faith, Joseph, when his end was near, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel; and gave instructions concerning his bones.
