You will have to email me for most of the information, some of it is complete bull, thats all I can tell you, but some of it is not.

There are some parts that are absolutely true, and you can see evidence for it.

Email me and I will give you the links.
GoogleFree mason??? skull and bones???
I am the only male member of my family that isn't a Freemason as far as I know. That is mostly a function of me being an atheist.

No it isn't devil worship. In fact, one of the main things is belief in a creator for the Universe, which is why it is incompatible with atheism. But it is compatible with many different faiths. It is just a fraternity that does charity work mostly. They are technically a secret society, but if you spend 5 min. on Google you can find their entire ritual and anything else you want to know about them.

This whole line is just total conspiracy wack jobs.
My father is a Freemason. It's not remotely devil worship (my dad belongs to a First Christian Church in Texas); he's 83 years old, and has been a Freemason for more than 60 years. The Masons are a fraternal organization that requires a belief in a Supreme Being (although the particular being is up to the individual). There are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and many other Masons. They seek to do good work in the community, and fund quite a number of charities, such as burn and orthopedic hospitals, shoes, clothing and school needs for children. In Texas, they were among the first to promote the notion of public schools.

If you need more information, there's tons of legitimate stuff out on the web. Most states have a Grand Lodge site (some smaller states have a Lodge that covers two or three states), and they answer lots of common questions there. I've been in more lodge rooms than I can count since I was a little kid, and they're just big rooms with an altar, on the center of which is placed a copy of the Bible/Torah/Koran or other appropriate scripture, usually depending on the part of the world in which you find yourself. There are also lots of places for spectators, and seating for various officers in the north, south, east, and west of the room (usually a pretty good-sized room). Otherwise, they're usually very plain. The various rituals are allegories regarding the building of Solomon's temple, in which the tools of a stonemason take on symbolic meanings regarding important life lessons.

I always have to laugh at the conspiracy nuts; but then, I suppose they have no idea how ridiculous they sound to someone who's been in contact with Masons all his/her life, so I try to just shake my head and go on.

As to the "Skull and Bones" or "New World Order" - I know nothing about them, so you'd have to ask someone else.
It's basically an older version of Scientology. Fundamentally harmless yet the target of much suspicion and conspiracy theories due to the popularity of its members and the organization's secretive ways.
Free masonry, Skull and Bones and just about every other secret society out there has levels to it. On the ground level it seems harmless, as you have read in some of these answers, and just about everyone and their dog can get involved. It's the higher levels that hold the secrets, and it takes years of faithfulness to get there. When you get up there, you have to declare that Lucifer is god, among other things. The music is nasty, but if you want to learn more, here are some pages.
Freemasonry is evil.

In the 30th Degree, the god of freemasonry is revealed to be Lucifer, the light-bearer. It's devil worship, alright!

Though they may vehemently deny it %26amp; claim to be do-gooders, it's all a front for their evil activities.

Edit..great gazoo..

In the first to third degrees of freemasonry, the members make allegiance to the GAOTU, i.e. the Great Architect Of The Universe. You are assuming it means God the Creator, but it's not. It's referring to Lucifer, finally unveiled in the 30th Degree, as the light-bearer. Satan had always wanted to be 'like God' and he coveted the worship of God's creation - he finds his fulfilment in freemasonry, amongst others.
They usually hold meetings in churches.
it has alot to do with measuring. measure good to bad, the whole nine yards. i guess it is numerology in a sense
freemasonry is not related to the skull and bones.

freemasonry is not related to any 'new world order' movement.

freemasonry is not devil worship.

lots of people have ideas, most are wrong.

freemasonry is a social fraternity that studies morality and provides more charity than any other group on the planet.

to some others:

* not sure what Silver 'knows' but his understanding of freemasonry is wrong.

* freemasonry is not an older version of scientology

* not evil; cataliz has been listening to the misinformed anti-masons...

* matrix is listening to the same flawed anti-mason spew...
google is were u can find almost eney thing
I know that Free Masons are the equivalent of "Christian Witches." They have some understanding of how to bend reality. The masons have either been or supported every president from Washington to present day. They designed the layout of Washington, D.C. to correspond to a pentagram so that the nation's capitol would be magically protected.

They do have several charitable organizations running, including the Shriner's Children's Hospital. This is to keep their image clean in the public eye.

If you travel to Washington D.C. take a look at the old Senate buildings. If you look at the masonry around the upper portion you will see repeated pentagrams, symbols to protect our nation's law makers.
