Can i pack a human bone in my luggage on a flight?

Ok, I'm not crazy.. but I collect bones, I have a 110 year old human skull which I got from a medical school, and I'm moving states. Is it possible to pack it in my checked in luggage on a flight or am I going to get picked up for being a crazy lady and taken away for questioning or worse? Can i pack a human bone in my luggage on a flight?
If you carry it on-board there's a very good chance they will call you in for questioning. Which is understandable for security reasons. If everything checks out ok (and if your story is true, it probably will), they will most likely let you fly.

Here's a similar story that happened in the US...

That I am not sure about because I never been on a plane, maybe if you give them the reason why you're packing the bone then they should let you slide.
