My St Bernard is driving me 'Crazy' please help?

Well she chews everything. From shoes to headphones to cardboard and foam almost anything. Inside or out if she finds it she chews it!. i dint know why she always has chews, bones i got a husky she is 18 months my saint is 8 months, they play and are quiet happy and healthy. I show her we just came back 3 days ago from a 6 day show over easter, the day after we went to the park, yesturday we were at the beach for half the day. i am always taking them places their lives are all but boring. She chewed our 16ft trampoline today, lets just say it will be expensive to fix. she has also been chewing up a box and foam. today. but why? she has already had fresh bones today. Its just crazy. she has greeat teeth. she doesnt knaw on things as a way of teathing, she just destroys. she always pulls washing down.



please help..



she is out during the day and has a huge yard. she has toys but does not use them

You say she is 8 months... She is still just a pup! A lot of pups chew. It takes a training and exercise to convince them that chewing is not what they should be doing. Redirect her attention to something else. Try a kong ball with either the goop in it or the one you can put little cookies in. It sounds like she is getting bored.

She's a pup. She'll probably grow out of it, but I would build a kennel area in your yard where she can't get to anything TO chew it. In the house, I would never let her be unsupervised until the "land shark" phase is over.
