Or do you think people rode around dinosaurs a la Fred Flinstone? I mean you cant believe in the bible and dinosaurs at the same time. The bible says the earth was made thousands of years ago, and dino bones are millions of years old. The claim used to be "Satan put those dinosaur bones here to confuse us."

Then it was changed to "God put those here to test our faith."

And now a days it's "No, dinosaurs and humans existed together, because there's a line in the Bible describing a giant monster."

Dinosaur bones are the evidence of the creation in the lst Earth Age according to the scriptures, read there about the behemoth and the leviathan.
Dinosaurs were obviously real. The creation could have taken thousands of years:

2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.



God has no time as we do. Why argue and debate over issues that really don't matter.
Well, who knows? The bible wasn't totally accurate about how many wise men came to praise jesus, just about the number of gifts that were given to him. Dinosaurs could've been created by God, and the number of years that are counted by man could be wrong.

I think the best explanation I have ever heard for dinosaur bones was a nondenom telling me they were misclassified pieces of other animals. What is big enough to be misclassified as a brontosaurus?



Beyond that, the Bible does indicate in places, some in the first book of the New Testament, that the world is a certain age according to tracing Biblical individuals back to Adam and Eve. One calculation I have heard repeatedly is that the genealogy goes back six thousand years. Therefore the declaration of planetary age from Biblical information.



If the Bible is taken literally, it contradicts most science, including the planet's age and dinosaurs.



I heard a theory, and I hope its not mainstream, that the Bible indicates that the Earth was placed here six thousand years ago. It does not state where the planet was prior to that. Therefore, the planet is older then six thousand years. Presumably, that could explain the dinosaurs?



Is it possible that the Bible was written by men in different times and includes socially appropriate information from the time period? Its a book of governing religious information and not a set-in-stone words of god to dictate for the ages.

God made everything including the dinosaurs. I do not believe the earth is only 6000 years old. That is not what the Bible says. I also don't believe the earth 4.5 billion years old either. I want you to get a calculator out. The earth's crust is 20 miles thick on average some places thicker some places thinner. lets say 1/8th of an inch of crust is made every year. Divide 1/8th of an inch into 20 miles. How old would that make the Earth's crust. Never mind the arguments about radio isotope test. Recently someone tested a cubic zirconium that tested 2.5 billion years so that test has flaws.



There is just no way dinosaurs were millions of years old let alone humans being a million years old.
The Bible does not give the age of the earth; where did you get the idea it did? Even taking Genesis literally, from Adam onward, that doesn't cover the age of the earth before mankind. The word for "day" in English does not mean 24-hour period in the original Hebrew. So we don't know how old the earth was by the sixth "day" of creation, but obviously old enough that dinosaurs had already died out.

True Christians do not deny that dinosaurs did exist. The fossil evidence demonstrates there were vast numbers and varieties of dinosaurs.

The book Palaeontology, by James Scott, states: “Even the earliest species of Homo sapiens (man) lived long after the disappearance of the dinosaurs . . . After tilting (through earth movement) has been allowed for, rocks containing fossil men consistently occur above those preserving the bones of the great dinosaur reptiles and it follows that the latter belong to an earlier age than the human remains.”

The book A Vanished World: The Dinosaurs of Western Canada states that “all of the 11 major kinds of dinosaurs . . . ceased to exist in the western interior at about the same time.” This, and the fact that human bones have not been found with dinosaur bones, is why most scientists conclude that the Age of Dinosaurs ended before humans came on the scene.



While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation. The apostle Peter writes that “one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.” (2Peter 3:8)



We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by Jehovah for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.
