What is it called when someone turns crazy over a tragedy that occurs?

Such as from the movie, the lovely bones in which the father tries to find out who kills her daughter. Then he starts searching everywher exagerrating and blaming it on every one. He goes crazy and starts to go after the suspect and tries to kill him.



What kind of mind problem/disorder is this called?What is it called when someone turns crazy over a tragedy that occurs?
( I would call it homicidal psychosis ).

People do this when they are trying to restore order to their mind; when unexpected tragedies occur, they remove something that the person was relying on; the revenge obsession comes from not being able to accept that the person is really gone.What is it called when someone turns crazy over a tragedy that occurs?
