i have the old holographics too, Alakazam, Mewtwo, Charizard.....over 200 of them and all still in mint condition...left in the plastics and hard covers in a binder for years in my attic....i say WAIT for a couple more years cause then they'll really be worth something.
Remember what happened with the Dungeon%26amp;Dragons collectibles?...yea same thing...
Honest answer is that if you try to go through a hobby shop you'll get pennies on the dollar. Dirty little secret is that shops never sell anything like that for more than 50% of what they think they can sell it for, and ususally less than 25%.
If you want to sell for any kind of value your best bet is to sell them to someone who wants them, and that would be on ebay. As for pricing, you can look at other ebay auctions and use them as a guideline.
Oddly what most collectible shop owners will do once they've bought your stuff for pennies on the dollar is to turn around and offer it one ebay themselves.... Ebay is how a lot of those guys stay in business these days.
Unless you need money like.. today... Don't go anywhere near a shop. What would be good prices to demand for my old collectables?
Best thing to do is to look on Ebay and see what similar items are selling for, it will give you a guide.
Good luck!
