Dog barks like crazy?

My sisters dog who is an American Stafford Shire Bull Terriar (sorry for the spelling) and is a male, barks like CRAAAAAAZY whenever my dad is near him. There's no history of him ever abusing the dog or anything like that. The very first time my sister brought her dog over, he barked like crazy and was growling at my dad. Since then, the dog has come over maybe 5 or 6 times, and each time my dad tried to make peace with the dog, but no progress.

Now that my sister is moving back home, I NEED an answer as to WHY the dog barks like crazy at my dad. My dad wears a uniform for work and my sister thought maybe the dogs previous owner had abused him and wore a uniform. So my dad tried wearing normal clothing. But still the growling and barked persisted. My dad gives him treats and bones and comes down to the dogs level and tells him to stop barking but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING works.

Please, help me.Dog barks like crazy?
have your dad go down to the dogs level but not say anything. have him put his hands out to the dog showing him there is nothing in his hands. if that doesn't work try having your dad give the dog a nice bone or something that would spoil the dog (letting the dog see that he's a good friend to have) Good Luck!!!
its annoyed to deathDog barks like crazy?
Take your dog to some training center.
its just got older

my dog didnt start barking till like a month ago and it started randomly

she is almost three
He could be afraid the dog or its aggressive
Beat and kick dog until it shuts up. Then give it to the dog pound.

Imagine what the neighbors of this miserable dog have to put up with!
it could just be the fat that hes a male. stick with your dad giving him treats when he comes over or even if your dad enters the room give the dog a treat that way the dog relates your dad with the treats. it will probably just take a matter of time. if your dad gives the dog space and you also try to not encourage the dog barking at him to much it'll get easier.
You could buy a bark collar or maybe its the smell of your dad.
Have you neutered him? If so some dogs tend to bark more when you have.

If not, it's the fact that he's a male, since dogs are protective especially of female owners they tend to bark and be more defensive about another male.
There's a gadget you can but at the pet store, to put on dogs so the bark is not loud at all. You'll have peace.

Just a suggestion.
Try a shock collar
Don't give treats to the dog while it is performing bad behavior because it may think you are rewarding it for it's barkings.
Sometimes dogs just feel threatened by the demeanors of people, people usually don't realize that they're doing it. Just have your dad try and have the dog do things like 'sit', 'down', etc. It will let the dog know who has higher ranking. Pry the best thing your dad could do is take the dog for a long walk, that they will both really enjoy, the dog would have to eventually stop barking. He'll get tired ;) And again, this will show the dog who is dominant. Hope this helps!
Buy a shock collar specifically designed to curb barking. The dog barks, and the collar zaps the piss out of him. My aunts dog had the same problem as yours an in just a few days, the barking stopped. In fact, her dog learned to bark so softly it wouldn't trigger the collar and it didn't bother anyone else, so it worked great. Try that.
idk but i hate when dog hate u for no friggin' reason
Teaching it to stop can be difficult! First you might try a rolled up newspaper. It sounds as though the dog is attempting to establish dominance. This is usually done by being aggressive and barking at someone. Your father should turn it to its stomach, hold its throat (like a dog biting it) and growl at it! This will typically cause it to stop.
The dog is afraid of your dad and that is why he acts that way. Eventually he will get use to your father. Most likely the dog has not been socialized as a puppy.
