My dog is driving me crazy and Im not joking??????????????

Okay so we are doing the right and responsible thing we have a dog on heat and its only her second so we arent letting them mate and we have locked him in the double ventilated garage thing is he doesnt stop crying and its doing my head in I have giving him toys,bones and pats and treats and it still doesnt work. We let him inside as a treat and he went to pee on the lounge!!! . We swap them over she she then has garage time and he has outside time but he still cries help me!!!!!!!!!!!!My dog is driving me crazy and Im not joking??????????????

Anybody who has ever had a male dog knows exactly what you are experiencing.

I had one dog that did not stop after he was desexed, and the concerts we had to endure in our own house were plenty. - We did not have any females, but some of our visiting friends did. All of them were speyed.



I remember one evening where a colleague was over for dinner, with her husband and their female doggy. Anyway, my desexed macho male fell in love with her girl and wooed her so sweetly that she fell in love too. The two were rolling on the carpet howling their love howls, and my co-worker kept on complaining, that MY dog made HER dog whine. They were both whining, crying, cooing. The woman asked me to make them stop. I kept laughing (what else can you do?) and she got really angry. And because the doggies kept on keeping on (both were desexed!) she grabbed her dog and her husband, and left BEFORE dinner, leaving us with the huge roast we had prepared.



I must admit, I still feel like laughing when I think of it. We never got another invite to her house either. :))

My little males do all sorts of funny things and sometimes even before I have a clue heat is on the way.I call them my sirens!It's like a Tornado warning only it lasts for Days.They cry ,whine,howl,scoot,and i have one 5 # male that climbs a chain link fence one leg at a time like a fireman climbs a lader.It is soo funny,just have them spade and neutered ASAP and maybe the worst will be over.Bare with it ,that is all you can do!Good Luck!My dog is driving me crazy and Im not joking??????????????
Everybody is right get them both neutered it is not going to go away! They both have one thing on their mines.
None of the toys, bones treats or pats on the head will satisfy and male dog near a female in heat! I advise you to have your female spayed and your male neutered. Then they will not drive you crazy!
I feel for you. Spaying and neutering isn't cheap. But, it's the only good fix for this problem.



I would recommend giving your boy as much exercise as possible - away from your female. Maybe if you tire him out over the next few days, he'll sleep longer - and whine less.

Get the dogs spayed/neutered ASAP! Besides preventing unwanted puppies, it leads to a healthier life for the dogs. If you dont believe me, call your vet.
mabye you could put a doggy diaper on her and then his thingy won't be able to get to her. it is the only idea i have. i know how you feel. we have two puppies right now that are brother and sister and we are going to get them spayed and neutered in a week, but he keeps trying to mount her and his mom and our little beagle. so he has to stay seperate and i feel bad for him because he does his puppy face.mabye you should go on a walk or get out of the house. good luck.
He's going to do whatever he can to get at her, since she's in heat. He's going to drive you crazy as long as she's still in heat. You can get doggie diapers for her and you can get a belly band thing for him, which covers his penis so he can't do anything. I'd get them those, but watch them anyway, because he's going to try to find a way....



You should get at least one of them neutered/spayed for your own sanity. It's the safest and healthiest thing for them, too.
NEUTER and SPAY them.
Haha get him neutered.. That's what boys do.. Cry, whine, beg, and then start all over again.. It's not going to stop for a while.. SHe'll be in season approx 21 days, maybe more.. If you're near mad now, It's not even close to being over!
I had an unneutered male dog once while living in an apartment and almost got evicted because my dog cried nonstop due to a female in heat somewhere in the building. If you think YOU are going out of your mind, it is many times worse for your dog. Get her spayed after she is out of heat and him neutered now so he doesn't suffer when neighborhood females are in heat. They will both be better, healthier, happier pets. If you're worried about weight gain, just don't overfeed them and it's not a problem. By the way, it takes a few weeks after neutering for the hormones to be eliminated so don't delay any longer for your sake and your dogs'.
